S. Shankar's sci-fi film '2.0' which stars South superstar Rajinikanthand Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles, has been on a roll since its release and is even giving a tough competition to newly released film in its third week at the ticket counter.

'2.0' which is touted as the costliest film in the history of Indian cinema with a budget more than Rs 500 crore has been unstoppable at the box office as the film which opened at Rs 20 crore saw an upward rise in its collection taking it past the Rs 100 crore mark just within a week and has managed to rake in another Rs 85 lacs at the ticket window.

Directed by S Shankar, the film also stars Amy Jackson as the female lead. The film narrates the story of a scientist who helps the Government to fight an unknown threat. The films also boast of songs by the legendary Oscar winner AR Rahman.
